Welcome to Third Grade

Welcome to third grade! This year your child will be engaging in several hands-on science experiences, including chemical experiments, space exploration and growing Wisconsin Fast Plants. In Social Studies, we will take a journey through different communities and cultures around the world. Math concepts include: place value, telling time, estimation, graphing, and problem solving using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. The Language Arts program provides opportunities to explore a variety of reading material such as fiction and nonfiction stories, poetry, reader’s theatre and biographies. Children will participate in creative writing and cooperative learning in all subject areas. We look forward to a great school year!
