George Bush High School

George Bush High School opened its doors in 2001 and has since then developed an environment of high academic standards and character. The faculty and students have worked diligently over the years to create an environment that encourages its cultural diversity and pushes toward a culture of excellence.
 
The overarching theme felt throughout the halls is that we at Bush High School desire "Success. Nothing Less."

BHS Mission Statement

George Bush High School will guide each student in the pursuit of academic achievement, vocational training, and collegiate preparation according to national, state, and district standards. Staff, faculty, and students will demonstrate a strong sense of character by giving respect to others, showing personal respobsibility, and providing service to school and community. George Bush High School is committed to providing a support system to ensure continuous success of all students.

BHS Vision Statement

To establish an environment where faculty, staff, students, parents, and community work in unity to develop and synthesize characteristics of honor, integrity, respect, and intellectual curiosity in their academic pursuits, community endeavors, and individual growth.

From Hwy 6 and Westheimer:
-Go West on Westheimer to 1464.
-Turn Left (South) on 1464.
-Pass under the West Park Tollway.
-Bush High School will be shortly after the Tollway to your left.

International Business and Marketing Academy

“…taking on the WORLD… one course at a time”
 
The Academy will be a four-year program that encompasses the high school core curriculum with additional academic courses that emphasizes marketing, business, foreign languages, and international cultures. Students will choose from one of the following concentrations: Accounting/Finance or Marketing/Management.

Principal Cecilia Crear is a product of Fort Bend ISD; a graduate of Willowridge HS. She received her Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from Prairie View A&M University. She later returned to Prairie View A&M to earn her Master’s Degree in Education Administration and has since earned her Doctor of Education from the University of Houston. She began her teaching career in Alief ISD as a math teacher at Elsik HS; she then went on to become an assistant principal at Alief Taylor HS before becoming an associate principal of instruction at Alief Taylor. She has sixteen years of experience working in large and highly challenging urban high schools. She strongly believes in building relationships and making a positive impact. She is dedicated to doing “whatever it takes” to ensure students receive the highest quality education and are equipped with the 21st century skills necessary to compete in this complex, global economy.
