UPDATE 4/2/13: Registration for AP/Pre AP original credit summer school courses has been extended and will remain open until each course reaches capacity or June 13, 2013, whichever comes first. Please read the 'related document' for information related to original credit opportunities for 8th graders going into high school and who are interested in taking PreAP/AP courses. Parents of students entering 7th grade for the 2013-14 school year are reminded that documentation of a second dose of the Varicella vaccine (or written notification of the date of Chickenpox disease), along with a Tdap booster (tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis) and a Meningococcal vaccination are required before incoming seventh graders may start school on August 26th. This documentation needs to be brought to the clinic by Tuesday, May 28th. Presenting an updated immunization record after this deadline does not guarantee that the student’s records will be processed in time for the start of school in August. By law, students will not be allowed to attend classes without evidence of having received these three immunizations. Seventh grade students whose immunization records do not reflect these required immunizations may not attend the first day of school or any day thereafter until a properly completed immunization record is presented to the school. Mark your calendars! The dates for the annual BMS Longhorn "Round-Up" (orientation) to prepare for the 2013-14 school year are below.

* 6th Grade -- August 14th (8:30 am Check-In; 9:00 am--12:00 noon Program)
* 7th Grade -- August 13th (9:00 am--12:00 noon)
* 8th Grade -- August 13th (1:00 pm--4:00 pm)

Students should anticipate receiving their textbooks and lockers, as well as having their picture ID photo taken. BMS spirit wear, PE uniforms, locker organizers, and much, much more will be offered. There will also be a special program for 6th grade parents in addition to special activities for our newest Longhorns. Check back for more information and details as the dates draw nearer.
