Bullying, teasing, mistreatment by peers, etc., has been an issue in public schools for decades, and given the high-profile that Bullying has received in media reports in recent years, Fort Bend ISD and Baines MS have redoubled their efforts to combat it. The 'related document' offers a compendium of resources for parents and students to help deal with this menacing issue. FBISD Board Policy FFH (Local) speaks to how the district expects its students and schools to handle bullying, and at Baines MS we work through advisory character education lessons, our No Place for Hate campaign, and the Chain Links Club to combat the problem through showering the campus with kindness and compassion. Work with your child's grade-level AP and/or counselor early should there be any problems. Join the Chain Links Club, too! Everyone deserves a peaceful setting in which to work and learn, and we are committed to combating this issue head on, day by day, student by student.
