A great beginning of a great year!

Colony Meadows Elementary believes that all children can succeed. The parents and staff will provide a nurturing, learning environment that is safe and drug-free, to foster individual growth and a feeling of self worth. It is our goal to help children experience the joy of learning to their maximum potential, thus preparing them to become contributing citizens in an ever changing world.

A new online 2011-2012 FBISD Student/Parent Handbook has been developed to provide you with general information regarding District procedures and guidelines.

Pre-K 8:10 - 11:10 a.m. and 12:10-3:10 p.m.
 
Middle School
Start/Stop 8:55 a.m. - 3:55 p.m.

Fort Bend ISD is the only school district in the nation to be named a 2011 National School District of Character by the National Schools of Character Program in Washington DC.

Each week the program highlights the principles of a good character trait such as:respect, citizenship, responsibility, teamwork, integrity, loyalty, and perseverence, just to name a few. Click on the document to get the information to access the Home Link.

Students' attendance is one of the priorities for Colony Meadows Elementary. When students are absent, they miss valuable teachers' instructions and important lessons.
 
Attendance:
Please remember to send an excuse note the day your child returns from any absence - full day or part. The note should
have the following;
Date of return
Date(s) of absence(s)
Student Name (please print)
Grade
Explanation of the absence
Parent signature
 
Please see the attached Excused Absence Note. This can be downloaded and copied for your use.
 
Tardies...The CME attendance policy states that any student with 5 or more tardies in one 6 week period must attend a morning detention from 7:15-7:45. Those who meet this criteria will recieve a letter giving the date of the detention.
 
Our attendance percentages are outstanding. We are continually showing a 97%-98% average attendance rate.
