The math masters were the overall champions at their first Texas Math and Science Coaches Association (TMSCA) tournament held at Klein Oak High School on January 22, 2011. Eighteen math masters competed and Commonwealth Elementary School earned the first-place sweepstakes trophy for the best overall results in this interschool competition in which a dozen elementary schools were represented. Further, our fifth-grade students won the first-place team award in Calculator Applications and the second-place team award in General Math, along with numerous individual awards for placing in the top 10 in Number Sense, Calculator Applications, and General Math.

* Smartboard with projectors in EVERY grade level classroom along with one in the library and computer lab! Most paid for by our PTA.
* One Smart Response System set for every grade level.
*Windows NT network
*Multimedia Windows XP computer in every classroom and in the computer lab. Each classroom has at least 3 student computers.
* Digital cameras and video cameras.
*Students in the 5th grade produce a morning news show every morning that is distributed to every classroom. Music, transitions, chromokey and video are all a part of this broadcast.
*Parent Line automated telephone system for classroom updates
*Horizon electronic library catalog system
*On-site technology training provided by the Instructional Technology Specialist .
