Children At Risk Award
|
|
FORT BEND ISD - CHILDREN AT RISK awarded the Top 10 High Schools and the Top Five Middle and Elementary Schools in the Greater Houston Area with a certificate commending their schools' performance. Ginger Carrabine (principal – Walker Station Elementary School – 1st), Charmaine Hobin (principal – Commonwealth Elementary School – 2nd), Julie Diaz (principal – Fort Settlement Middle School – 3rd), and Lee Crews (principal – Clements High School – 8th) received certificates on behalf of their Fort Bend ISD schools.

Family Access is Now Open

Fort Bend ISD’s Family Access is now open. Family Access allows parents to “real time” information regarding their child’s academic progress. To sign up for Family Access, parents must go to the FBISD home page and click on Family Access (it will be one of the revolving graphics on the right side of the page). Only one form per family is required. Parents MUST bring the form back up to the school in person along with a Government issued ID in order to finish the sign up process. It is with great pleasure that we inform you that Commonwealth Elementary is a 2010 NCEA Higher Performing School (formerly known as Just for the Kids Higher Performing School)! Your school was identified as a Higher Performing based on one of two measures: consistent improvement in student achievement from previous years (growth) and/or absolute student achievement using your school’s Commended Performance results on the spring 2010 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills test. Atomic Learning

Fort Bend ISD is introducing a new educational service to its school community that will allow learners of all ages to embrace technology. Atomic Learning, an online technology training and professional development tool, is available to all Fort Bend ISD students, parents and employees.
