Dulles Avenue Lane Closures 6-9 Months

City of Sugar Land has informed us that during the expansion construction project Dulles Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction from the intersection of Avenue E to the intersection of Hwy 90 for the next 6 to 9 months. There will still be access to all businesses and institutions on Dulles Avenue, but traffic flow will be significantly compromised. This will begin on Tuesday evening, 9/6/2011. I recommend that you make yourself aware of any routes available that could avoid the significant traffic on Dulles Avenue at peak traffic times such as drop off and pick up. Depending on what neighborhood or street you are coming from please consider alternatives such as FM 1092 to Hwy 90 to Dulles Avenue, or Country Club Blvd. to Dulles Avenue, or Avenue E to Brand Lane to Ludwig to Dulles Avenue. Because the Dulles complex is on Dulles Avenue, the traffic will be unavoidable; expect significant delays. Beginning Wednesday morning, September 7, 2011, please give yourself additional time to get your student to school and in class by 7:30am. FBISD transportation and Police Departments are also aware of this situation, and will be making adjustments and providing support.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. We will do everything we can in conjunction with the City of Sugar Land to make it through this extensive project.
Thanks Vikes.
