Beginning May 1, 2012, parents and guardians who have Family Access may update student information online. In addidtion, ALL STUDENTS intending to ride the bus for the 2012-2013 school year, MUST complete a Transportation Rider Registration Form. If you currently have an account for Family Access, sign in and look for the online registration link in the top left of the page.
 
ALL ELIGIBLE BUS RIDERS MUST COMPLETE THE BUS RIDER FORM ONLINE IN FAMILY ACCESS, or by obtaining a copy from the school or downloading a copy from the FBISD Transportation Department website at:
 
www.fortbendisd.com/departments/auxiliary/transportation
 
Paper forms are to be turned in to your student's school. Access to update student information online and the bus rider form in Family Access will close on MAY 18, 2012. Family Access account forms may be obtained at school for those not currently signed up for this online service.

If you are moving over the summer and your child will not be coming back to FCMS, please come into the front office and fill out a form informing us where you will be moving to so we know where your child will be attending school next fall.

Elkins High School will be hosting their Rookie Camp on August 14th. The orientation will be held on campus from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Freshmen orientation registration will cost $10. This will include a t-shirt and lunch. Students will have the option of purchasing an EHS planner for $8 the day of the camp. Each campus will receive more information in the upcoming weeks.

Elkins Color Guard will be holding auditions next week May 21-24 from 4:30-6:30 PM at the Elkins Band Hall. At the conclusion of auditions on Thursday, there will be a parent meeting at 6:30 PM.

All 6th grade students who will be entering 7th grade in the school year 2012-2013 will be required to show proof of having received the following 3 vaccines:
 
*Tdap
*Meningococcal vaccine
*A second varicella vaccine
 
According to our current records, the vast majority of 6th grade students will need these shots. Therefore, it is a good idea to provide us with your child's updated shot record so that your child's immunization status will be in compliance with the new rules by May.
 
Processing new records takes some time and school nurses do not work during the summer.
 
Please check with your medical provider to see if your child has already had these immunizations.
