MBE is a TEA Recognized campus with a mission of putting “Kids First!” Together we serve a very diverse student population with over half or our students learning English as a second language. Special programs include Pre-K, Reading Recovery, ESL, Bilingual, PPCD, Resource and Title I. We have a very dedicated faculty and staff that make learning our number 1 priority!

FBISD Volunteer Background Check

Please read the information below regarding required yearly renewal of volunteer background checks.
 
End of Year Procedure for Volunteers
FBISD will inactivate all criminal histories of volunteers on June 30. Each parent and community volunteer will then be required to reactivate their original criminal history authorization at the beginning of each school year, in order to be eligible to volunteer on the campuses of FBISD.
 
Beginning of Year Procedure for Volunteers
New (First time)
Log on to www.fortbendisd.com
Click on ‘Be A Volunteer’ on the left hand side of the screen.
Click on ‘Criminal History Checks’ on the right hand side of the screen.
Click on ‘Online Volunteer Registration’
Directions
1. Click on “Are you a new user?” If you currently have an online employment application with Fort Bend ISD, select “Have you already applied?” and log in using your designated user ID and password that you selected upon making application with the district. Volunteers who have an online employment application should then proceed to step 4. If you have never applied for employment, mentoring, or volunteering, you will need to provide a user ID and password to continue. This takes only a few minutes.
2. Next Screen: Complete Applicant Information and Click the “Submit” Button
Anything is acceptable for your user ID and password.
3. Next Screen: Login using the user ID and password that you just designated
4. Next Screen: “What type of position are you applying for?”
Click Radio Button “Other” and Click “Start Application”
5. Read and complete the online application for volunteer proceeding through each screen by clicking on the continue button. Select the location(s) where you wish to volunteer and select “continue”. For “Position” preference, be sure to select “Volunteers” and select “continue”. Select all positions you plan to fulfill e.g. volunteer or mentor. Up to three positions can be designated.
6. Once all information is complete, Click the “Save” and “Submit Application” button for final processing. A screen will appear that says Submitting Application…please wait and four check boxes will be checked off. Your application is complete when you receive a message back that thanks you for completing the questionnaire to volunteer in Fort Bend ISD.
 
Returning (Reinitialize for new school year) On or after July 1 each year.

If you have forgotten your designated user ID, follow the directions on the screen. Your user ID is normally the e-mail address you specified originally. If you have forgotten your password, follow the directions for assistance. You will be given several chances to regain your password. If you did not set up a helpful hint at the time you established your password, select the e-mail it to me option. Within a few minutes, you should receive an automated e-mail with the password you had selected. You are now ready to proceed.

A screen will appear that says Submitting Application…please wait and four check boxes will be checked off. Your application is complete when you receive an auto e-mail with a subject line reading, Thank you for applying with Fort Bend Independent School District.

Summer Registration

Registrations are Tuesdays from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM and Thursdays from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Please bring the following information to register your child/children:
Deed of Trust, Mortgage Statement, or Lease Agreement
Current Utility Bill (must be electricity, gas, or water)
Child's Birth Certificate (original)
Child's Social Security Card (original)
Child's Immunization Record
Report Card from previous school (for grades 1 - 5)
Withdrawal form (if during school year)
Picture ID of parent with current address
If you are not the mortgage or lease holder you will need to complete a dual residence form.
If you have guardianship of a child other than your own, you will need to complete a power of attorney form that must be filed with the Fort Bend County Clerks Office.
