Welcome to Meadows Elementary School, the home of the Mustangs. We are an Exemplary school and are located at 12037 Pender Lane, Meadows, TX 77477.

SCHOOL HOURS

Front Office is open from 7:30 - 4:00 p.m.
Kindergarten - 5th grade
8:10 a.m. - 3:10 p.m.
 
(Students not in their homeroom by 8:10 a.m. are counted tardy)

MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to instruct and encourage all students to reach their maximum learning potential in a safe environment. Each student will be accepted as an indiviual and guided to be come responsible, productive citizens. We will communicate our academic achievement and success to our parents, students, staff and the community.

MRS. COBOS, PRINCIPAL

Irma Cobos is serving her ninth year as principal at Meadows Elementary. She is a long time resident of Fort Bend and educator for FBISD for the past thirty years. During that time she has worked as a teacher, central office and now campus administrator. She comes from a background of educators as her two sisters, brother-in-law and daughter are all teachers.
 
In her spare time Mrs. Cobos enjoys visiting with family and taking vacations. She loves the students of the Meadows community!

Documents Needed:
Birth Certificate
Social Security Card
Proof of Residence (Lease OR Deed & Utility Bill
Texas Driver's License
Up-to-date Immunizations
Last report card that shows placement for the current school year
Withdrawal form, if student is enrolling after the school year begins
 

CLINIC NEWS

Your child may not remain at school if he/she has one of the following: a fever of 100.4 or above, is suspected of having a contagious disease, vomits, has diarrhea, an undetermined rash or is feeling too badly to remain at school.
*Children should be fever-free for 24 hours before returning to school.
 
If medication must be given at school, it must be:
1. Provided by the parents & kept in clinic
2. In original labeled container
3. Accompanied by a written request that contains the name of child, physician, medication, and tells the amount, time and date it is to be given. The parent or guardian must sign this request.

NCLB Report Cards for the state as a whole, all school districts and charter schools, and all campuses are also available on the Texas Education Agency’s NCLB web site at http://www.tea.state.tx.us/index4.aspx?id=4638&menu_id=798.
Information on these report cards includes:
•Assessment results for the LEA and campuses in the aggregate and disaggregated by race/ethnicity, gender, disability status, migrant status, English proficiency, and economically disadvantaged showing two-year trend data (across the most recent previous two school years) for each subject and grade tested:
• by performance level,
• with a comparison between annual objectives and actual performance for each student group, and
• the percentage of each group of students not tested.
 
•Graduation rates for secondary school students.
 
•Performance of school district and campuses on adequate yearly progress (AYP) measures.
 
•Number and names of Title I schools identified as in need of improvement, including the stage of
improvement and AYP indicator missed by any schools identified for improvement.
 
•Professional qualifications of teachers in the LEA and campuses, including the percentage of teachers
teaching with emergency or provisional credentials and the percentage of classes in the LEA and campuses that
are not taught by highly qualified teachers, including a comparison between high-and low-poverty campuses
within the LEA.
