THS Campus Improvement Plan Goals

Academic Goal 1
THS will have a student success rate in all courses of 85% passing or higher as measured by the semester pass rates.
 
Academic Goal 2
10th Grade Math TAKS scores for Economically Disadvantaged, Hispanic, African American, and Special Education student groups will increase to 83% passing as measured by the April 2012 TAKS test.
 
School Community Goal
Tardies at Travis High School will decrease 20% by the close of the 2011-2012 school year as measured by the Raptor Systems tardy data.

Jeryl Jean Kyle - Principal

Mrs. Jeryl Jean (J.J.) Kyle is the principal of William B. Travis High School that opened in the 2006-2007 school year.
Kyle has over 38 years of experience in secondary public education, with 26 years in administration and 11 years as a principal. She began her career as an American History teacher as Huntsville Intermediate School, teaching there three years. After leaving the Huntsville area, she first came to Fort Bend ISD in 1973 as a history teacher at Dulles Middle School, and also taught history at Sugar Land Middle School, before becoming as Associate Principal at Missouri City Middle School. Kyle also served as Associate Principal at Dulles Middle School before opening Garcia Middle School as the school's first principal. Her most recent position was principal of Sartartia Middle School, where she was also responsible for opening the school.
 
Mrs. Kyle holds a Master of Education degree and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education and Government from Sam Houston State University. She earned her Mid-Management Administrative Certification from Prairie View A & M University, and attended the Center for Executive Leadership at Lamar University, and many others.
